Owning and running a courier company!

With all the other delivery businesses out there in Manchester, it means a lot of competition to obtain and retain customers, so we need to make sure our courier costs are competitive. Not only that, but we also have van drivers to look after and our vehicles need maintaining to a high standard – first impressions count!

There are only three of us who run our transport operation. Firstly, there’s Greg who set up the business over 30 years ago, he’ll never retire. Then there’s his youngest son, James who’s become an integral part of the team over the last 7 – 8 years or so. Finally, there’s Mark, the other, older son. He's been working with Greg for 25 years now. Firstly, as a van driver, gaining vital experience on the job, then later as the business became busier and more difficult for one person to run he moved into the office to help run daily operations with his dad.

Between them, they have backgrounds in sales, marketing, advertising, nursing, retail, and the building trade. The experience gained in these areas really helps them to understand the various individual requirements of their customers.
