Fragile item delivery to Manchester town hall, Manchester.

Manchester City FC open top bus victory parade started at Manchester Town Hall continuing through Manchester city centre.

We had these two beauties in the photo in one of our vans the other afternoon.......no not the shiny silver trophies, the clear acrylic display stands they're sitting on.....delivered in pristine condition you'll see.

The MCFC victory parade in Manchester town centre was beginning at 5.00pm in the evening. That same afternoon at around 2.00pm we got a call from one of our long standing clients who had manufactured the display stands on which the Premier League and League Cup trophy were going to be shown asking us to deliver them urgently to Manchester town hall. We were able to dispatch a van to the collection address within 10 minutes.

Once collected they were taken straight into Manchester in a dedicated vehicle carrying nothing else but the stands. Upon arrival in the city centre we were faced with multiple road closures. This was due to heavy security surrounding the town hall and the growing crowds of Manchester City fans who had congregated there. Basically we couldn't get within 200m of the delivery point from any direction.

As a small, family run business we like to try and be different from the large national transport companies. We like to be flexible and versatile, dealing with any problems which arise with minimal fuss. We quickly made a few phone calls to the people involved with arranging the parade who in turn made arrangements to come to meet our van at an agreed location. The driver then helped carry the stands through the crowds to the stage outside the town hall.

The end result, some very nicely displayed trophies and a very happy customer!!
